The pastoral staff and worship leaders of First Glendale offer dynamic, relevant worship experiences for today's diverse world. We believe vital worship will encourage and inspire all those who wish to follow Jesus. We strive to be a "grace based" church that is inclusive of all persons, a place where all are invited and all are welcome.
For those who enjoy starting their day with Holy Communion, a Lay Led worship service with prayer, scripture, a brief meditation and Holy Communion is available each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. (Note: In our United Methodist traditon all are invited and welcome to share in Holy Communion.)
The 9:00 a.m. worship service is traditional in liturgy, music and preaching. Congregational singing is led by our new Rogers Organ and special music is provided by each week by our Chancel Choir. During the summer months special music is provided by our excellent church musicians or soloists.
The 11:11 a.m. worship service is a blended service held in the Sanctuary. Congregational singing is led by Echoes of Praise and special music is provided by the members of the band.
Sunday School for Children, Youth and Adults; for a list of Adult Classes click on "Adults" under the Ministries tab.
Between 9:00 am worship and 10:10 Sunday School, refreshments are available in the Fellowship Hall (or occasionally on the patio). Everyone is welcome and a special invitation is extended to newcomers to come over to the Hall after worship for refreshments and an opportunity to get acquainted.
For those needing infant and child care (under age 3) the church provides a well-staffed nursery during each of the morning worship services. Ask the ushers or staff for directions to the nursery. Nursery care is provided during worship services and Sunday School.
