Opportunities for Adults

At First Glendale you will find many opportunities to learn, to grow in your faith and make lasting friendships with people who have made First Glendale their home. Sunday Morning Classes

The Koinonia and Wayseekers Class -- 11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall

The Koinonia and Wayseekers Class is a lively study and discussion class open to adults of every age. Newcomers are always welcome! This is a wonderful place to begin your journey at First Glendale.

The Friendship Class -- 11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall

The Friendship Class is a Bible Study and discussion class for senior adults. In addition to their Sunday morning class, the groups gets together for potlucks and social outings.

New Member Orientation Class -- (watch bulletin for schedule)

Whether you are interested in making First Glendale your church home or you would like to know more about who we are and what we believe, we invite you to attend a new member orientation class. Watch the bulletin and newsletter or check "Wish to Join" on the registration slip and you will be contacted or speak to one of the Pastors.

Short Term or Midweek Opportunities for Study, Service and Fellowship

Short Term Studies (5-6 week) and midweek study opportunities are available throughout the year. Watch the bulletin and church newsletter for information.

Wednesday Soup and Sandwich -- Wed. 5:30 p.m. Fellowship Hall

The Wednesday Soup and Sandwich is a great way to meet new people, share a bowl of soup and sandwich, then participate in a variety of studies. Those who wish to sing may leave for Choir Practice at 7:00 p.m..

United Methodist Men -- 4th Sunday 7:30 a.m. Fellowship Hall

The United Methodist men meet before worship for a breakfast and speaker. Speakers are invited from the church and community and speak on a variety of topics. 

Mens' Covenant Group -- Time and Place in Bulletin

The Mens' Covenant Group is an opportunity to gather with other men and discuss what it mean to be a Christian in today's world. The group meets every other Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in a local coffee shop. Watch the bulletin for details or call the office at (623) 937-7630.

United Methodist Women -- 1st Thurs. 6:30 p.m. Fellowship Hall

United Methodist Women (UMW) is a wonderful way to meet other women and be a part of mission and study projects. UMW Circles meet at Various times during the month. Call the office for a schedule of times and places.

Rosie's Road Crew -- 5:30 a.m. Saturday Mornings

One of the best ways to get acquainted with our campus (and meet some great people) is to join the Saturday Morning Grounds Crew. They begin at 5:30 a.m. and rake, weed, clean and do whatever needs to be done to get our campus ready for Sunday!  (They usually work two hours.)
