The One and Only – Galatians 1:1-2;6-12
In today’s sermon Pastor Kim Gladding looks at the early Christians living in Galatia and how they were told that to become a Chrisian they had to go through the Jewish rite of circumcision and adopt the entire Jewish law. They were being told they had to become a Jew first before they could become a Christian. In believing this they were being led away from a Gospel of grace to a conterfeit gospel of legalism.
Counterfeit gospels are all around us! Some people refer to them as “The Gospel Plus…” This simply means when we are pulled away from God’s free gift of grace because we’re being told there’s something else we need to do or must do this becomes a counterfeit gospel.
