The First United Methodist Church of Glendale and the United Methodist Women are hosting their first auction and fashion show for local charities. Everyone is invited to attend the Spring Luncheon & Charity Auction being held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church located at 7102 N. 58th Drive in Historic Downtown Glendale. The event will be hosted in the Fellowship Hall on the North side of the campus. Tickets are $12 per person, $7 for children under 12, and includes a catered spring-themed lunch. Please contact us by April 30 to reserve a seat.

This year’s United Methodist Women’s Spring Luncheon is dedicated to charitable giving in local missions.  Activities include a “Donations Only” fashion show. Models will walk through the luncheon area, showing off their fashion couture. All the modeled clothing will be donated to Justa Center.  Justa Center is an outreach that helps homeless seniors over the age of 55 on their journey back into housing. There will also be a silent charity auction.  Various community and local business have donated items which will be auctioned off to raise money for Maggie’s Place.  Maggie’s Place provides houses of hospitality and ongoing support to help pregnant and parenting women in need.  With a location here in Glendale, the funds raised by the charity auction will be directed to helping those local women in need.
