Celebrating 125 years of Faith, Hope and Love

In 2019, we celebrated 125 years of mission and ministry in Historic Downtown Glendale with a wide array of events and activities held throughout the year:

• The bell in our tower rung every day at noon for 125 days (from June 3 to October 6).
• Each Sunday, there was a First Church Moment when a person, couple or family share what the church has meant to them.
• Historical pictures were displayed, announcements were made before worship and the Youth created a 125th Anniversary Cookbook. 
• A Luau and End of Summer Rally Day was held in August.
• A 125^th Anniversary Concert and Dessert with Mary Hollan was held in September.
• We hosted an Anniversary Ice Cream Social in October.
• Sunday, October 6, 2019, was the Anniversary Celebration Sunday!
• We showcased favorite memories from many of the church members, community and neighbors of the church.
